Ah, that pleasure of finding out there was a whole book I had not read of an author I really like.

This book is awesome, but then again, it's a Zelazny book so you already knew that. It's also fun, and the premise is very weird. Which are nice to haves.

Is there a name for a character that is a Mary Sue and also a raging, giant asshole? It should be called a Meyer Dempsey, like this book's protagonist.

This is not a great book. It's probably not even a good book. I did finish it and I may give the 2nd one in the series a chance because it's free and it's a somewhat reasonable escapist fantasy, and that's about all the good things I can say about it.

The Handmaid's Tale

A true classic. As most classics it's not exactly a light read, and this one in particular is unrelentingly depressing.

    Still, a must read.

A special +1 to Claire Danes reading in the audiobook, it's amazing.

I wanted to love this book like I love the author's previous ones. But I could not.

It's probably me, not him, since I am having a hard time finishing books lately, which means I am sort of forcing it. So, don't worry Scott!

So, Alphabet owns Uber and they are actually Waymos. And Alphabet is owned by this daughter of chinese immigrants that likes basketball, and Steph Curry is a druglord. More or less that's the idea. Not really my cup of tea, but not horrible by any means.
